Phil Jennings
NDT Managing Director
Phil began his NDT career as a trainee Radiographer in 1983, progressing through a number of roles within the NRL Group prior to being appointed Managing Director in 2011.
His time-served experience working within the civil nuclear sector ensures the commercial and operational side of the business is always underlined by safety. Phil continues to develop our NDT services by identifying efficiency improvements, service innovations, return on investment and new opportunities to better support our clients.
Tim Stubbs
UT Operations Director
Tim’s NDT expertise spans over 30 years, having held key roles with Doosan Babcock and Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear as well as managing his own Ultrasonic Inspection business for 10 years. Joining NRL in February 2020 to establish a new Ultrasonic Qualification and Inspection division in Portishead, Bristol, Tim continues to evolve our service offering on Nuclear New Build Projects.
Qualifications held include: Member of British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BiNDT); PCN Ultrasonics (Welds) Level 3; PCN Phased Array Levels 2 & 3; PCN TOFD Levels 2 & 3; PCN Ultrasonics (3.1, 3.2, 3.8) Level 2; PCN Eddy Current Inspection (svx) Level 2; PCN Radiographic Integration (dense/light) Level 2; PCN Magnetic Particle Inspection Level 2; PCN Magnetic Particle Inspection Level 2; PCN Liquid Particle Inspection Level 2; ASNT Level II Material Hardness Inspection and Remote Visual Inspection; and ESKOM approved Phased Array/UT/MPI.
Rorie Henderson
NDT Operations Manager
Joining the business in 2013 as a Technical Clerk, Rorie has progressed through the ranks to his current role as Operations Manager. He is the main client point of contact for all Radiography operations in our Egremont branch and oversees the deployment of SQEP operatives onto multiple projects. Rorie has been involved in developing a custom built Radiography database and is responsible for precise coordination and administration of critical testing programmes.
Rorie holds various IT systems and telecom Diplomas, as well as PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection and Radiography.
Pat McCarthy
Group Compliance Manager
Pat leads the health and safety of our operations, working with our clients, senior management and external stakeholders to ensure we always remain compliant. He has extensive experience working within the industry, and regularly liaises with the Health and Safety Executive and Environment Agency to conform with all nuclear safety regulations. IOSH and NEBOSH qualified, he also holds a range of training and auditing certifications.
Pat works in our parent company the NRL Group, which ensures our operations also adhere to the wider Group safety and compliance responsibilities expected of us.
